Mix in order given:
1/2 cup butter or margarine (we use smart balance sticks), softened in the microwave
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda in 1 tablespoon of hot water
3 mashed or disintegrating bananas
optional 1/2 cup walnuts
pour into oiled loaf pan(s), half full-ish
bake at 350F for approximately 45 minutes
when a fork comes out clean, it's done!
